Replacing a rail or starting from scratch?
Photograph the whole window and any existing rail or brackets. Tell us whether you want to reuse the current holes or change the position. For shelves, show the proposed height and what you plan to put on them; the provider needs to consider the load as well as the size.
What to measure
For curtains, send the window width, the rail or pole length and the height of the fixing point. Mention radiators, window handles or furniture that might obstruct the curtains. For a shelf, send its width, depth and the manufacturer’s load information if you have it.
Check your own wall or ceiling
Apartments in Kadıköy can have different finishes and mounting surfaces, even in the same building. A photo cannot always identify what is behind plaster or paint. Tell us about known repairs or hollow sections; the provider may need an on-site assessment before confirming suitable fixings.
Agree the work with your landlord
If you rent in Moda, Fenerbahçe or another Kadıköy neighborhood, check permission for drilling and changing existing fittings. Clarify whether old holes should be filled and whether repainting is required. Those finishing tasks need to be agreed separately rather than assumed to be included.
